Race Details – Waiver and Cue Sheets

We are three days away from the racing at the Minnesota State Gravel Championships! Here are some things racers need:

Waiver
You’ve probably done this gravel racing stuff before, so you probably know you need to print, sign, and date a copy of this waiver form and then bring it with you to hand in at registration. We won’t have many (or any!) copies!

Cue Sheets
Oh, yeah. Cue sheets. Turn by turn, start to finish. Print them, cut them, laminate them, or do whatever you need to do to get this info in front of your eyeballs on race day.

Saturday morning – Stage 1: The Big Woods (38.6 miles)

Saturday morning (optional) – Gravel Tour: The Whitman Sampler (20.81 miles)

Saturday afternoon – Time Trial: Hump Day (9.38 miles)

Sunday morning – Stage 2: The Kilkenny Killer (86.95 miles)

As with the waiver form, we won’t have copies of these sheets (or GPX or other digital files) at registration.

Race Info Sheet
If you haven’t already, check out the race info sheet that includes details on registration/packet pick-up, event start times, and all that good stuff. This is the same one that was already published on the website and sent via URL to registrants.

Vultures!!!

Drove some of the course this morning and spotted this group of Vultures resting.  They must have an intuition about coming events.

Postcards are beginning to arrive!

After a week of vacation it was good to show up for work and see some entries on my desk.  Also nice to see an out of state racer in the first couple of cards.  photo

2014 Gravel Champs!

The second annual Minnesota State Gravel Championships will happen on Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19, 2014.

Registration for this year’s event opens on Saturday, August 2. As always (okay, as last year), registration is FREE. Just send a postcard:
MN State Gravel Championships
321 Division St
Northfield, MN 55057

The second annual Champs will be a lot like last year, but different: three races spread over two days (probably two events on Saturday, one on Sunday), events headquartered at local sites, good locally brewed beer, and of course a lot of gravel. A LOT of gravel.

Race Day Details!

What
Minnesota State Gravel Championships

When
November 8-10, 2013

Where
Northfield, MN, and surrounding area

Packet Pick-Up and Waiver
Packet pick-up will be held on Friday November 8 from 6-9, pm at FIT to be TRI’d (321 Division Street S, Northfield, MN 55057 – Google Map).

You will need to turn in your waiver before receiving your packet!

Download your waiver here.

Packets will also be available 30 minutes before the beginning of each stage near the starting areas. Find the guys around the table.

Race Numbers
Each participant will receive a race number that can be attached to your handlebars.

You must keep your number on your bike for each stage – or move it from one bike to another, if you’re going to be like that.

Cue Sheets
Cue sheets for all three races are available below!

Owing to the cost and work of printing and distributing cues to everyone, we are asking all racers to download and print their own copies of the cue sheets. That way, everyone can geek out and do whatever they want with the cue sheets – shrink them, enlarge them, laminate them, gild them.

Parking
Parking is readily available at the start and finish areas for each stage.

Maps for all of the start and finish areas can be found below.

Latest News

The deadline for the event is past and the cards have been piling up.  We have received a number of communications about extending the window to send in a card.  We understand that this event came late to the calender and many didn’t hear about it soon enough.

So here is what we will do.

You now have until October 30th to get you card postmarked and mailed in.  But, here’s the deal.  If you are sending it in after the original deadline of October 25th we ask that you bring a ‘food item that can be donated to the local food shelf’.

Stay updated with the latest news on our Facebook page.
